Welcome to my home page. I live in sunny Tokyo - and love it. I have spent the best part of the past 25 years living in Hong Kong, which is a very special place. It has taken me some time to adjust to my new surroundings, but I am learning that Tokyo can be a pretty damn good substitute in many ways.
I am a big fan of film photography and have a monster collection of cameras and lenses to show for it. I also enjoy cycling, and regularly ride all over Tokyo - it's really hard to ride OUT of Tokyo as it seems to go on forever. I enjoy wine and sake and have a very nice collection of wine as a result - most of which is still in Hong Kong quietly aging in a former British army bunker complex - but that is another story. I guess I will have create a really serious collection of sake now I am in Tokyo.
Obviously I need to work - and I do that in the Financial Services Information industry. I run the Japanese operations of a service provider - which is a lot of fun and challenging at the same time. I am very grateful for the opportunity to have a job that I enjoy and allows me to immerse myself in many different places and cultures at the same time.
I apologise the very intermittent updates that happen on this web site. It is more a sign of the number of things I have on my plate - and a desire to relax as much as possible - than any lack of interest in getting it up to date.
